Family Mosaic Help 1,000 People into Work
Family Mosaic are proud to announce that last week we reached our manifesto pledge to help 1,000 people into employment.
Our original manifesto said this would be achieved within a 3 year timeframe, and we are delighted to announce that this has been achieved in just 2½ years!
We helped 189 young people to get apprenticeships within and outside of Family Mosaic. We were also able to help 171 Care and Support customers some of whom, in getting a job, achieved something that they had never thought possible.
A Huge Thank You!
This was achieved with the help of so many who have generously offered their time and support to help residents and customers get into work.
A massive thank you must go to the Family Mosaic Board and the Maisie Sheed Trust who helped fund the project, without which this would not have been realised.
We must also thank and admire the hard working and ever creative Family Mosaic Employment Team, as well as the wider Social and Financial Inclusion Team.
We celebrated achieving our goal in style at the Oxo Tower, with many customers and apprentices who have benefitted from our work programme sharing their story
Deidre Moss, a Family Mosaic board member commented;
"Having spoken to a few of the apprentices during the event I was inspired and humbled by each of their stories. In each case they have overcome significant difficulties in their lives to get to where they are now. The sense of achievement, pride, confidence and belief in themselves shone through."
