Further Success At The National Housing Awards

In an earlier article we mentioned that our mixed tenure development at Ivydale Road was shortlisted for the ‘Best Small Development’ at this year’s National Housing Awards and are delighted to announce that we won!

The Ivydale Road development is a collection of 14 mixed-tenure homes, comprising 3- and 4-bed houses and two 1-bed apartments. The new homes at Ivydale Road excel with spacious layouts and large gardens – a rarity in this highly sought-after area.

Ivydale Road is designed in keeping with the architecture of the neighbouring buildings and surrounding street pattern, but the provision of passive energy-efficiency measures and other environmental issues also became an integral part of the design.

How the award was judged

The judges assessed entries based on how the development met the needs of the local market, how design features made the most of the site potential and fitted into the local neighbourhood and how the development took into account local considerations.

The awards night was an enjoyable and successful day with guest speakers and entertainment from celebrity host, Patrick Kielty. The awards also helped to raise funds for the Great Ormand Street Hospital Charity from proceeds of ticket sales.

This is the third award the development has won having been included in Inside Housing’s Top 50 Affordable Developments of 2014 and scooping ‘Best Affordable Housing Scheme’ at the Wharf Awards in May.

Theres No Place Like Home

The National Housing Awards provided a platform to unveil our new campaign "There's No Place Like Home". Designed to help raise awareness of Shared Ownership and help first time buyers buy thier first home, we want to help you find your way home.
