Family Mosaic Wins ‘Best Affordable Scheme’ at the Wharf Awards 2017
We are delighted to announce that our Greenwich Shared Ownership scheme, Charters Wharf, has won the award ‘Best Affordable Scheme’ at the Wharf Awards 2017. The event, which took place on Friday 26 May at the O2, brought together Estate agents, property developers and solicitors from across east London and Docklands.
With 17 categories, the Wharf Awards recognised the brilliant work of both companies and individuals throughout the capital. It was an honour to receive such fantastic comments from the judges-"In a world where the term affordable is not only a moving target but often a misnomer, the winner provided figures that would give genuine hope to those people who might feel the housing market had left them behind."
Look at an extract from our award entry:
“The main objective of providing Charters Wharf was to create an offering that allowed buyers not be priced out to lesser central areas of London. Not only did we want to produce a development with high quality homes, we wanted to provide these homes alongside a structured finance model that would be attainable for those falling under a variety of income brackets. As a Housing Association that strives to provide affordable homes that are of the same quality as private sale units, we are very proud to be able to present Charters Wharf to those looking for homes of this standard.”
As well as winning this award we were highly commended for Best Residential Development for The Gramercy Greenwich development.
