Resales
How does it work?
Shared owners who already own a share in their home can offer
that share for sale through Family Mosaic. You would be able
to buy the share directly from the shared owner and the priority
for nominating the buyer will be the same as for New Build
Homebuy.
For full details download our shared ownership guide.
Who can buy?
Anyone who cannot afford to buy a suitable home on the open
market may apply as long as their total household income is lower
than £60,000 per annum.
You must apply to the local Homebuy Agent, who keeps the central
register of applicants who wish to be considered for government
funded affordable housing. We will only offer part buy, part
rent properties when we have received an approved registration from
the Homebuy Agent.
For London,
Priority is given to those who are giving up a council or
housing association tenancy and to key workers who meet the
eligibility rules set by the government.
Usually, priority is given to those who live or work in the
borough where the property is to be sold. This is known as
the nominating borough and they will set the priority order for the
properties to be allocated.
Detailed terms of eligibility can be obtained from the Homebuy
Agent and priorities for allocating our properties from Family
Mosaic.
